Dear Friends and Neighbors,
It is my pleasure to announce my candidacy for Woodinville City Council Position 7 for this Novemenber 3, 2009 Election.
As a former Deputy District Attorney and with over 30 years in private law practice, I will bring the required education, integrity, and experience to our City Council. I chose to retire in Woodinville because of the friendly people, the endless recreational opportunities, the fresh air and tall trees.
I am an active advocate for securing a better quality of life for those of us who chose to live in this great city of Woodinville. I have served as the vice-chair for the City of Woodinville’s Parks and Recreation Commission and continue as a Commissioner today. I am also the Vice President of the Concerned Neighbors of Wellington.
My vision for Woodinville includes a village atmosphere with a more vibrant downtown, with more varied restaurants, small businesses, shopping, and family-oriented activities. We need to preserve the character of our neighborhoods and the quality of life we all enjoy. Woodinville, however, will be facing serious growth pressures and a greatly limited budget to deal with its needs.
What are the important issues facing Woodinville’s citizens?
With my education and professional background I am the most qualified candidate for the job. If you share my vision for a better Woodinville please vote for me.
Respectfully,
Bernie Talmas
